About Stephanie A San Francisco Bay Area native, Stephanie Maulding is a visual artist working primarily in photography and photographic illustration. She has shot commercial photography for diverse clients across the U.S., run two graphic and post production departments, and done high end retouching work internationally. Stephanie came to photography young, shooting her first commercial project at 17. As soon as she was able, she followed her passion to New York to study her craft formally and received her BFA in Advertising Photography from RIT in 2006. She's been working and consulting on a freelance basis ever since. Over the years, Stephanie has developed an abiding passion for art history, cultural anthropology and the psychology of design and human aesthetics. She is a perpetual student of the evolution of beauty as a concept and ideal throughout the ages and is a steadfast defender of conscientious depictions of beauty in the media. Her work follows these threads, exploring cultural ideas about physical beauty and design tailored to the human experience. Stephanie is currently available for commercial & editorial projects, private portrait sittings, model portfolio development and high end photo retouching. She is also currently seeking representation in both San Francisco and LA.
